Puppy Consultation

This consultation is designed for clients with puppies (8 - 16 weeks of age) that want to get off on the right foot with their new family member. We will meet with you and your puppy in order to help educate you on puppy development and socialization. Topics covered will include: House training, play biting, methods of correction, crate training, handling exercises, socializing your puppy to various everyday objects, socializing your puppy with animals and humans, basic grooming tips, first aid, and other health related topics. Laying the proper foundation with a puppy and properly socializing her can help eliminate behavior issues before they arise and prepare your puppy for future training.

Puppy Temperament Testing

A temperament test is a series of ten small tests that are designed to give a breeder a snapshot of each puppy's possible future potential. Will this puppy be a good hunting dog? How will she react to training? Does this one have dominance issues? Could he be a potential Police K-9 officer? All of these questions (and more) can be addressed through temperament testing. These tests will help a breeder match each puppy with the right buyer based on their desires and plans for that dog. The test will be video recorded, and after analysis, the breeder will receive a copy of the video as well as a report detailing each puppy. The testing does require both the tester and breeder to follow a strict set of rules, regulations, and guidelines in order to get an accurate snapshot.
